The Greater Lewes Community Village
(GLCV) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to
enhancing the lives of senior residents in the Lewes area. GLCV provides
support, services, and programs that make it possible for the members
to live independently and safely in their homes as they grow older,
while remaining engaged in a variety of social, educational and cultural
What We Offer
Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
Carefully screened volunteers from the community provide help with light home maintenance and chores, friendly visits, phone call check-ins and rides for errands and medical appointments.
We can refer handy-persons, electricians, plumbers, gardeners, personal care assistants, computer technicians and others. Our vendors are established business persons in the community who have been individually screened and have successfully completed a reference and background check.
One Stop Shopping:
One call to the GLCV office (302-703-2568) matches the member with appropriate volunteers and/or vendors. Our office located in the Blue House on Schley Avenue in Lewes is open from 10 AM till 4PM Monday thru Friday.

Call the GLCV office for a membership application and/or information about membership.
Annual membership is open to seniors who live East of Route 1 between the UD campus and New Road communities to the North and Henlopen State Park to the South.
